RD. Associates is a leading Manufacturer's Representative of Electronic and Electromechanical components serving the Mil-Aero, Mass Transit, Microwave, Wireless and Medical markets across Canada.
R.D. Associates was founded in Toronto, Ontario in 1972 by Ross E. Dix. Ross believed that there were two keys to success in this business -- knowing whom to talk to and knowing what we are talking about. This holds true today. Upon his passing in 2009, Mary M. Reando took over the company. Under Mary's leadership we have continued to grow and prosper.
We provide multi-level support to our customers: Technical support to Engineering to gain print position and with Purchasing to win the business either direct or through Distribution.
We are committed to long-term customer and principal relationships with the highest degree of customer satisfaction.

Mary M. Reando
President/Outside Sales
Californian by birth and education, a dual citizen of US and Canada, a North American! Began working career with Matrix Science in Torrance, CA. In the late 80's was the Canadian Sales Manager when AMP bought Matrix. Joined R.D. Associates, our Rep and have been here since!

Terry Thornton
Outside Sales
Originally from the UK, I graduated in Mechanical Engineering from Harrow Technical University. I also completed a 5 year engineering apprenticeship at EMI Electronics.
For a short time I worked in the design office at Elliot Automation in the UK before moving to Canada where I joined the design team at ITT Telecommunications.
An offer from Amphenol prompted a move into sales and subsequently I spent a number of years at AMP and also EDAC in various sales and marketing positions before Joining R.D. Associates.

Silvia Duta
Outside Sales
Moved to Canada in 1998 from Romania with a degree from the Politechnica Bucharest in Electrical Engineering.
In Romania, I worked for Matizol. Working my up from a Junior Engineer to a Design Engineer
In1998, I completed the Programable Logic Control Technician diploma at RETS in Toronto.
I initially joined R.D. Associates as Inside Sales but moved to Outside Sales a few years ago.
